I-O Data introduces in Japan the new BRD-SP8 (also BRD-SP8B in
Black), a 8x BD-R writer. The BRD-SP8 makes use of the SATA interface.
It can write both Single layer and dual layer BD-R(8x) and BD-RE(2x)
media. DVD+/-R, DVD+/-R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM as well as CD-R/RW are
